As technological innovation has accelerated, people, communities, and organizations have become more connected than ever before. This disruption has changed the way consumers do business. We watch iPads not TV. We shop online not in stores. We want what we want when we want it and at the price we want it. In this environment, the traditional ways of running a business just won't work anymore. Design Thinking offers a methodology to transform companies and cultures.
Get ouf of the building! If a start up wants to make it and become a company, it needs to go about things differently than an established business. Marketing directors and 3rd party researchers please do not apply. The founder has an idea and assumptions have been made....assumptions that are almost always wrong. The Lean startup process accelerates the learning curve and preserves cash. It gives a great idea the best chance of developing into a great business.

Originally developed by Alexander Osterwalder in 2008 as part of his Phd, the business model canvas is a simple graphical template describing nine essential components of a business: Customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, resources, key activities, partnerships, and costs. However the real value of the canvas isn't in it's design but rather in how you use it. The canvas is an essential element of the Lean Start Up process.
